Controlled environment

Hero image

FGEN is invested in two controlled environment (“CE”) projects. Rjukan is a land-based recirculating aquaculture facility in Norway farming trout and the Glasshouse is a 2.4-hectare advanced facility capable of growing a wide array of horticultural products.

CE projects typically face a greater level of market risk than environmental infrastructure projects with subsidy support or with long-term contracts. Therefore, the Company has only invested in projects that enjoy a privileged market position over competitors, for example due to physical location, technology or product differentiation.

Construction activities at these assets are complete and both are making good progress through their ramp up phases.
